Phew! What a busy week (and what a short one) we have! In reading, the class has started a new theme, which is focusing on non-fiction books. This theme will give the students the skills to navigate non-fiction books (which are generally more difficult to comprehend) successfully.
In math, the class will be finishing the first chapter and tested on the material on Thursday.
In Religion, the children will be reviewing the sacrament of Baptism. We had a great discussion today about godparents and Baptisms that the students have attended.
It is Fire Safety Week so we will be going over some safety tips. The class will also be making a poster of “How to Escape From a Fire.” It should be fun to see the results!
Finally, in Science, the students will continue learning about nutrition! I have encouraged the students to pack a healthy snack every day this week.
