Homework Guidelines

It is your child’s responsibility to copy the homework down each day. I ask that you read the Homework copybook each night (even weekends) to see if your child has homework. I also ask you to initial or sign the Homework copybook daily. This will help keep you aware of the homework assignments.
ANY CHANGES IN HOMEWORK WILL NOT BE POSTED ON THIS BLOG!
Below is a summary of what may be assigned for homework nightly:
1. Spelling
2. Math

In addition, your child may have the following assignments to complete:
1. Workbook corrections (time is given to complete this in class)
2. Worksheet packets (time is given to complete this in class)
3. Studying for a test in Religion, Science or Social Studies. I generally give two nights to study for a test.
4. Any incomplete classwork

I am aware that a child may not complete the assignments for whatever reason. It happens and if it is rarity then I do not consider it a big deal. Your child will receive a “Missed/Late/Incomplete Homework” for that assignment. The work will be expected to be done the next night. Occasionally, your child will complete the assignment at recess.
If a child has 4 missed homework assignments in a TRIMESTER, he/she will receive a lunch recess detention.
Any questions? Contact me at school. Thanks!
