As we enter the second part of the school year, your child should be relying less and less on using fingers, number lines, and rulers to solve basic math facts.  Starting March 1, your child will have to complete math work without any of the above aids.  I strongly suggest spending time each night practicing the basic addition and subtraction math facts (1+1=2 to 12+12=24).  If you have not already purchased flash cards, I suggest you do to help your child.
